Join us for International Gator Day - May 19!
WHAT: International Gator Day
International Gator Day (IGD) is a single day each year that the University of Florida asks Gators around the globe to give a day of service in their local community - no matter where in the world that may be. For those cities where there are Gator clubs/alumni chapters, we organize everything. By you participating, we can have a greater impact on our community!
This year we will be supporting the Nashville Ronald McDonald House. The mission of Ronald McDonald House is to keep families close by providing essential resources and a “home-away-from-home” for families of critically ill children receiving inpatient or outpatient medical care at Nashville area hospitals.
WHEN: Saturday, May 19, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CST
WHERE: 2144 Fairfax Ave, Nashville (near Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital)
There are three ways we will be supporting the Ronald McDonald House:
Can’t volunteer that day? We are also accepting cash donations, through our website, to help purchase items from the list. We have a generous start with $35 already donated! Some super Gators do both—volunteer and donate!
- Preparing a meal and clean up for the full house of current residents and staff (meal for roughly 35 people)
- Various projects in the supply and kitchen rooms
- Receiving, organizing wish list items that our members can drop off at Ronald McDonald House location on the 19th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m..

We hope you will join us in one or both ways to truly show our community the power of the Gator Nation!
